  • I agree with riggs. I have an idea (working within the income tax structure): At a certain personal income level, everyone pays a certain percentage. No loopholes, no whining, no hiring expensive attorneys and accountants to get out of it.

  • Luger - I don't believe in "trickle down economics." I believe in trickle AROUND economics. The more EVERYONE has to invest, produce, and spend, the better off EVERYONE is.

  • And everyone CAN get a tax break at once. What makes you say they can't? If the rich get a tax break, they invest and produce more. If consumers get a tax break, they consume more. All this amounts to more income, and, therefore, a larger tax base.
